, ,Transylvania University (www.transy.edu), a top-tier, independent, residential liberal arts college of 1,000 students in Lexington, Kentucky, invites applications an Enterprise Applications Developer. The Enterprise Applications Developer is responsible for developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting the university's enterprise systems, including, but not limited to, the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Learning Management System (LMS). This role collaborates with stakeholders across the university to create solutions that improve operational efficiency, and maintain system and data integrity. The developer works across platforms to ensure effective communication between systems and sustainable scaling with institutional growth.
Essential Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between the CRM/ERP and other campus systems using APIs, middleware, or native tools.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts, workflows, reports, and user interfaces within the enterprise environments.
- Translate functional requirements into technical solutions aligned with institutional goals and best practices.
- Support system upgrades, testing, patching, and documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs and offer guidance on technical capabilities and process improvements.
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance standards are met in all development work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in coordination with functional teams and external vendors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of enterprise system features and development tools.
Secondary Duties:
- Participate in training professional development to stay current on technologies.
- Assist in documenting technical workflows and institutional customizations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on enterprise systems.
- Proficiency with languages and tools such as SQL, JavaScript, REST APIs, XML and JSON.
- Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Workday Studio, or similar).
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Slate, Salesforce) and ERP systems (Workday, Ellucian Colleague).
- Knowledge of database design, query optimization, and data privacy regulations such as FERPA and GDPR.
